Aurora Youth League Football

Information About Our Football Program

We offer competitive fall tackle football program for those six years old and up.
Flag football is offered for 4 and 5 year olds.
- The season consists of a 8 game season.
- Wins and losses will not be recorded for the regular season.
- There is a post-season. All teams are invited to play for the championship.
Official practices will start the second Monday in August.
The first games will be scheduled around Labor Day weekend.
There is a minimum playing time requirement. Each player will play a minimum of one quarter of their game. For the Senior divisions, 12 & 13 year olds, that number is 10 plays.

Registration Information

Our league consists of 11 clubs/organizations. Each organization is responsible for their own registrations. Depending upon the club you choose, the cost of registration could differ. 2010 Football Dates

7/31/2010 - Preliminary Weigh-In

First chance for players who will be playing fall football to get their official weight taken.
The time and location will be announced later.

8/14 - 8/15/2010 - Official Weigh-In

Official day for players who will be playing fall football to get their official weight taken.
The full schedule will be released at a later date.

8/16/2010 - Late Weigh-In

For those who miss the first three weigh-in days, for a $50 fee, the player can get their official weight taken.
This will be the last opportunity for a player to get his/her weight taken before the first game.

8/18/2010 - Final Roster Check

From the final roster check, team counts in all divisions are determined.
The schedule should be generated shortly after this event.

8/28/2010 - First Games

8/31/2010 - Make Up Weigh-In

Last chance for players who miss the first four weigh-ins to get their official weight taken.
There will be no individual fee for this weigh-in.

1^st Annual Pee Wee/Flag Football Tournament

For the first time in league history, we are proud to announce our Pee Wee/Flag football championship tournament. The tournament was held on Saturday October 25, 2008 and Sunday October 26, 2008. It was of a single elimination style format. The first two rounds took place on the 25^th. The semi-finals and championship happened on the 26^th.

Congratulations to the Ram Purple team for winning our first tournament. The AYL would like to thank all the players, coaches, parents and volunteers for making this event a success. Without you, such an event would not be possible.
